Scholars demand immediate reopening of routes to Parachinar

In a meeting of the Pakistan National Solidarity Council, Hujjat al-Islam Maqsood Ali Domaki called on the government to end the cruel siege of Parachinar region and take practical steps to strengthen Shia and Sunni solidarity in the region.

Hawzah News Agency- a meeting of Pakistan National Solidarity Council was held in Quetta in which prominent religious and political figures, including Shabbir Hussain Maithami, Secretary General of the Central Council of Shia Ulema, and Maqsood Ali Domaki, Secretary General of the Central Organizing Committee of the Muslim Unity Council attended.

The speakers at the meeting expressed concern over the critical situation of Parachinar region and said that the region has been under siege for more than four months and the people are facing severe shortage of food and medicine. They requested the government and official institutions to immediately reopen the routes leading to Parachinar so that the problems of the people can be resolved.

In another part of the meeting, Hujjat al-Islam Maqsood Ali Domaki noted that the National Solidarity Council is an effective platform for strengthening unity among all Islamic sects and creating religious solidarity in Pakistan.

Domaki also called on the government to end the oppressive siege on Parachinar and take practical steps to strengthen Shia-Sunni solidarity in the region.

At the end of the meeting, all the scholars emphasized the need to strengthen peace, brotherhood, and national solidarity and called for confronting any kind of divisiveness and sedition.
